We recently invested in a new custom-built HNC-RGV600 roll grinder and groover to retain this title. This piece of high-quality equipment fills the gap between the RG range of grinders and the GV range of grooving machines.

It is built for fast and fully automatic machining of rubber cylinders.

The Technology

The custom-built large-capacity HNC-RGV600 is a high-speed CNC (computer numerical control) machine with the latest technology to enable the grinding, grooving and cambering of cylinders and sleeves.

Features

Our custom-made HNC-RGV600 roll grinder and groover has the following features to provide many different types of grooved and patterned rubber rollers used by the printing industry:

• The HNC-RGV600 can easily accommodate rollers of lengths of up to 4000 mm and 650mm in diameter.
• It can be used with rollers weighing up to 3 tonnes.
• The high-speed grinding head is mounted at the rear cross slide, and the grooving head is mounted directly at the front of the same cross slide.
• The machine is fitted with a mist coolant system to keep the grinding surface cool and to dampen the dust, helping to keep the machine clean.
• HNC graphical user interface to make programming of the machine quick and easy. On the graphical user interface screen is a menu of grinding and grooving options customised for our needs.
