NW Rollers has invested in the latest technology to manufacture a wide range of conical and parallel Easysleeve systems for various industries.
As a result of our investment, we have the biggest laser engraving facility in the UK that caters to manufacturing top-of-the-range, next-generation sleeves. This includes using several design techniques, such as the grinding & grooving crosshatch.
What is Crosshatch Grinding and Grooving?
This design technique uses a pattern of cuts to create a visual texture on a roller. Multiple cuts at 90-degree angles to each other make a checkerboard pattern across print areas. This is the crosshatch design.
Our Technology
One of our recent investments is our new custom-built HNC-RGV600, which provides fast, fully automated machining of our cylinders and sleeves up to 4000 mm long and 650 mm wide. It can be used with rollers weighing up to 3 tonnes.
This technology is specifically designed to create a range of patterns, one of which is the crosshatch design. Other patterns include:
- Parallel Groove
- Horizontal Linear Groove
- Diamond Pattern
- Radical Groove
…and many more.
