Conical sleeves are used in the packaging, lamination, and industrial sectors in the UK and have proven successful and consistent in a range of production scenarios.
As a leading supplier in the UK, NW Roller Services Ltd brings unparalleled expertise to producing conical EasySleeve rollers. Our range includes solvent and solvent-free rollers made with specially developed rubber compounds, ensuring the highest quality for your operations.
What is a Conical Sleeve?
Although the sleeve’s inside is conical, its outside is perfectly parallel. This means the mandrel and sleeve fit precisely and correspondingly.
Conical sleeves are non-slip; we are the only manufacturer offering a no-slip guarantee and promise. Our conical sleeves are supplied in the following forms:
- Carbon-infused fibreglass sleeves are designed for effective static dissipation. With the right compounds, these sleeves channel static through the rubber and into the ground, preventing buildup and ensuring safety.
- Standard construction resin and glass sleeves are used for coating, flexographic and laminating printing. They are used with ESA compounds.
Both kinds supply the flexographic, gravure, and allied trades.
Conical Sleeves: The Benefits
Our conical sleeves offer several benefits:
- They offer an outstandingly consistent laydown of adhesive during the printing process.
- They are hard-wearing, meaning the lifespan of the conical rubber roller is longer than that of alternative compounds.
- The glue is easier to clean off because it is highly visible on brightly coloured rollers, thereby reducing production downtime.
- Our conical rollers are ideal for high solvent resistance, particularly when they are used in conjunction with ethyl acetate solvents and isocyanate compounds.
- Rather than reinventing the wheel, we have the expertise to convert existing roller printing and lamination machines to the conical sleeve system. This offers cost reductions and production downtime.
- Conical sleeves are lightweight in construction, so they can be moved easily and quickly. They’re easy to handle, can be quickly changed on the press and are safe to store.
- They are suitable for a wide range of production, including high-quality facial tissues and cement bags.
